45 days is far too long for payment

Andrew
I understand that Tribe sometimes has to chase down payments but that burden shouldn't be passed onto creators. Penalizing creators who want or need payment immediately is unfair. And the other option of waiting 45 days is ridiculous. If Tribe has to do this then 14 days should be the maximum waiting period for creators to be paid for the work they have already done.

Totally agree,

Yes and on top of this, payments are delayed so I'm currently waiting on day 48 without payment.
Yogi
I agree

No point complaining about this, TRIBE don’t care, cause if they did they would of asked us creators for feedback with payment terms, instead they go to please brands!!!!

Even receiving the 50% payment held initially and then the rest at the 45 day mark would be better than nothing.

Hey Andrew,
Thanks for taking the time to write feedback! We have more info on why the payment scheduled changed here:
Additionally, the 45 day payment schedule is in place for us to closer match the overall timeframe on the brand side, plus help the processes for our Finance team. And it has 🙏
Overall, we understand the wait is longer but you still get your whole fee and you can set your own fee to make it worth it. Build up a pipeline of approvals to keep the cash flowing!

Bella: as in other words, Tribe don’t care!!!!
Erin
Bella: It seems to be because you want us to pay the 10% fee - on top of what you’re already charging the brands. We are helping you make money, so it would be good if you treated us a bit better here. You wouldn’t offer the 48 hour payment option if it was because you’re trying to sort things out with the brand within 45 days!

Erin & Ginger Guljan: We make the app free to use for Creators so you have the opportunities at your fingertips. Most of our Creators chose the 45 day option. On average, brands pay us in 54 days, so even at 45 days, we still pay our Creators before we receive payment ourselves. With the 48 hour - 10% fee, we incur costs like a team of people who manually check the posts, and to our bank, and Hyperwallet (payment provider) for releasing payment quickly, so the amount charge helps that side of it - only by a fraction.

Bella: every other app that I am signed up with is FREE!!!
So please don’t try to use that card with me!
Tribe allow brands to walk all over creators, you charge brands a ridiculous fee already (I know this as a brand told me what you charge them upfront before they can even start a campaign) and then want to charge us 10% to have our hard earned money early!
Ginger Guljan
Bella: Jules sent me the above same reply via email. Not sure why I had to be told this twice!

Ginger Guljan: Hey Ginger, appreciate you would’ve experienced an adjustment from the previous duration, and since we made the change we’ve still had positive responses from our community. The 45 days enables you to keep your whole fee - and we want you to. Of course we love all feedback from our Creators, so I’ll take your messages back to the finance and product development teams. That double message was my fault, somehow I was logged into the wrong account via this platform!
Ginger Guljan
Bella: not a problem.
Erin
Bella: whether you’re processing payment within 48 hours or 45 days - it still requires someone doing it. So don’t use the excuse that it costs you money to pay for the services. You could easily automate that process by making brands give 100% upfront payment when committing to an influencer.
There are plenty of apps that do this, for example AirTasker or AirBnB.
That’s great it’s a free app, but you need it to be free as the brands pay for the service and we are doing the content creation that gets you that money!
Funds should be paid within one week. That’s just standard. You shouldn’t gatekeep our money for almost 2 months in hopes we will pay that 10% fee.
Improve your system!

Erin: well said.
